Need to Know

The House

Argoed is a very old house and has been Daniel's family home for many years. The Tudor Kitchen is the oldest part. We purchased the house in late 2015 and moved in during 2016. We are in the process of  restoring the farmhouse and enhancing the wild gardens that surround it. We are lucky to live in a beautiful location that we share with abundant wildlife. Whilst growing up a fox walked down our stairs, and an otter made its home on the door step, the birds sing continuously, bees hum on the wisteria and bats grace the night sky whilst Owls hoot from the trees.

The Tudor Kitchen is one of the oldest rooms in the house. The walls are decorated with historic posters about this fasciniating place. Your bedroom is the old dairy and the enormous oak beams above your head still contain the historic kitchen hooks!

The studio's simple kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and crockery for 2 adults. A generous supply of logs is provided for the stove and there are books and board games for those rainy days in front of the log burner.

The studio comes with unlimited Wifi with Apple TV and a selection of DVDs.

Outside there is a private garden area to the side of the house with views of the woodland and valley beyond. As a dog friendly accommodation in Pembrokeshire we provide two outside taps - hot and cold, perfect for washing off the dog after a long walk!

Please note that we live in the rest of the farmhouse with our two young children, we ensure that you have ample privacy during your stay but it is worth noting that our area is also above the studio.

We try to be as transparent as possible with our guests so please consider the following points.

We live in the rest of the house that include areas above the studio. We have two small children under 5 years old.
The Tudor Kitchen is situated down a long, potholed track, low sport cars may have some difficulty.
The Tudor Kitchen does not have Digital TV, only Apple TV which allows you to use iPlayer, Netflix, itv player, YouTube and so on.
The farmhouse is in the process of being restored, however we ensure that no building work takes place during your stay.
The log burner is the primary source of heat, we are on hand to light this for you if needed and there is an electric heater too.
Please note there isnt a washing machine in the Tudor Kitchen
Dogs are welcome at The Tudor Kitchen for a small charge of £30. We ask you to ensure that they stay off the furniture and that you are responsible with them when around the property - they must be kept on a lead at all times due to our children and neighbouring sheep.
